Who I am
Hi, I am Stefan.
Photographer from Zandhoven, father of two daughters, and since 2019 often the one who notices what happens at the edge of a moment.
I know how quickly an ordinary day can matter later. Not because everything went perfectly, but because a photo shows again how small your child still was, how someone laughed, or how you looked at each other.
That is why I do not ask you to look at the lens all the time. I would rather find the moment in between.
Approach
How I work
You do not need experience in front of the camera. I capture the moment without fixed poses or a way you should look at me.
Beforehand we take a moment to get acquainted and to talk about who will be in front of the lens and what matters to you. During the shoot I give direction when that is needed, but I mostly leave room for what happens on its own and for you to enjoy the moment.
You can move, talk, laugh, hug, or do nothing at all. I watch the small moments that appear in between, and those are often the pictures you most want to see again later.
What I photograph
A family does not follow a script. A baby neither. And on a wedding day the important part often happens just beside what was planned.
That is what I look for.
Newborn
Feeding, changing, together on the sofa. I come to your home and follow your baby's pace. No baskets or staged scenes. Small hands, and the way you are still getting used to each other.

Wedding
From getting ready to the party: I document the day, I do not direct it. Only for the couple photos do I take you aside for a moment. The rest of the time I stay quiet but present.
