Business portraits: the details
What is a business portrait?
A business portrait or headshot is a portrait session aimed at professional use: LinkedIn, your website, print and presentations. The session can take place at your office, at a chosen location or outdoors.
Clothing & preparation
Choose clothing you would wear to meet a client. Solid colours work best; avoid large prints and logos. A second outfit is possible but reduces shooting time.
Teams and groups
For teams, allow around ten minutes per person. Above twelve people we draw up a separate proposal so everyone gets the same look and background.
Selection & retouching
After the session you receive a preview to choose from. The selected images are subtly retouched: skin and light are taken care of, but you stay yourself.
Delivery
The edited images are delivered within 5 working days through a personal online gallery, in high resolution and in a cropped version for social media.
Cancellation
Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 5 working days before the session. After that, 50% is charged. Within 24 hours or in case of a no-show, the full amount is due.
Invoicing
Small enterprise subject to the VAT exemption scheme. VAT not applicable. For businesses the session is a deductible expense. Payment within 14 days of the invoice date.
Image use
You receive usage rights for your own professional communication. The photographer retains copyright and may use the images for portfolio and social media, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

How long does a session take?
From 30 minutes for the Starter package to 90 minutes for Professional. For a team, allow around ten minutes per person.
Do you come to our office?
Yes. I bring my own lighting and need a small amount of space. Travel within 40 km of Zandhoven is included.
What should I wear?
Clothing you feel confident in and that suits your sector. Solid colours work best; you receive tips beforehand.
I do not like being photographed.
I hear that often. I work calmly, give clear directions and show you images along the way.
Do we get all the images?
You receive the selected images, edited. Raw files are not delivered.
Can my company deduct this?
Yes, a business portrait session is a deductible business expense. Small enterprise subject to the VAT exemption scheme. VAT not applicable.
